This illustration was inspired by one of my favorite models, Adut Akech, and a recent editorial she did in the Chanel Issue of Chaos SixtyNine magazine. To show the dramatic highlights and shadows of her body, I decided to keep the image monochrome while still adding a pop with the blue tones. In this image, Adut Akech models a Chanel one-piece. The over-sized flowers she is holding were created with real pressed flowers, applied to my original acrylic painting.
