The Adut Akech Valentino Bow Dress fashion illustration is the third design in our mixed-media series inspired by the Spring 2019 Valentino Couture collection and runway show. This runway presentation championed diverse beauty in the high fashion realm.

I was inspired to recreate this piece because of how the unique folds and creases of the dress appeared almost like flowers. On my original painting, I incorporated a real satin ribbon at the waist to create that mixed-media quality. I love how the natural highlights and shadows of the actual ribbon are still visible in the printed versions.
